Bridgetown Greenbushes
A region worth talking about — let's make sure people do.
Bridgetown–Greenbushes is a remarkable place to live, work and visit. The river. The festivals. The food. The makers and the creatives. The wineries, the walks, the warmth of the people.
But ask someone who's never been here why they should make the drive — and most of us would struggle to give a compelling answer. Not because it isn't worth it. Because no-one has ever put together a clear, shared story about what this region actually offers.
Ask local operators the same question from a different angle: is trade as steady as it could be? Are visitors coming in the shoulder seasons, not just long weekends? For most, the answer is no.
That's the gap Experience Bridgetown Greenbushes is here to close.
Building a Community-Led Blueprint for tourism
We're developing a Community-Led Blueprint — a foundation document, written by and for the people who live and work here, that sets the direction for tourism in our region.
It's not a marketing campaign. It's the underlying story, strategy and shared language that every campaign, every operator and every visitor experience can be built on.
The Blueprint will:
-
Define what makes Bridgetown–Greenbushes distinctive — in our own words.
-
Map the visitor experience across the year, not just the peak weekends.
-
Identify the gaps, the opportunities and the partnerships worth pursuing.
-
Give operators, councils, funders and storytellers a shared playbook.
Community-led means community-shaped. Workshops, conversations and contributions from residents, operators, traditional custodians and visitors are all part of how this gets built.
